This role sits within Newton Investment Management North America LLC (“Newton”), supporting the US-based sales, client service and consultant relations division of Newton. The job involves providing administrative services to Newton’s commercial team, and while the position will be based in the our New York office, this role may support (locationally), but then also supporting commercial team members in Newtons’ other US offices (including Boston and San Francisco) as well. , to support Newton’s entire business development representatives in the US. The role would also entail working conversing closely with other regional/geographic offices as well, to co-ordinate investment-related and commercial activities that concern the US.
The individual will be responsible for managing all administration activities and other business related activities to ensure the smooth-running of Newton’s US commercial team business and offices and in particular will have a primary administrative role in managing the New York commercial team office.
Although the individual will need to ensure strong knowledge of Newton’s business and administrative practices, they will also need to have an understanding of certain aspects of the wider BNY Mellon business, and its policies and procedures.
The individual will have the support of others within Newton, but they will work autonomously in many aspects of their role as they will help administer the U.S offices and will need to resolve local issues as the primary contact. The individual will provide dedicated support to the U.S team.
The role will capture the following activities:
- Travel scheduling
- Expense management
- Meeting co-ordination (internal/external)/Calendering)
- Ethics and compliance reporting (CODERAP for gifts and entertainment)
- Facility management
- Office business continuity
- CRM support/management to the office
- Presentation/marketing material co-ordination and tracking
- External interaction with third-party providers inc. subscriptions etc
