The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) is seeking a hard-working, resourceful, and enthusiastic Analyst II to support mission-driven work in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service. The HR Support Analyst plays a key role in providing broad personnel support to departmental personnel. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and delivering training, serving as a Disability payroll subject matter generalist, and acting as backup support for Position Control and Exams. This position requires a strong understanding of personnel and payroll processes, along with the ability to research, interpret, and apply laws, rules, and regulations. In addition to these core responsibilities, the Analyst will assist with HR projects, policy development, and process improvements to support consistent and efficient HR operations.
Beginning July 1, 2026, CalRecycle staff will be office centered, requiring employees to report to the office at least four days per week. This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program needs. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the positions designated headquarter location, as reflected on the duty statement and at their own expense.
