We are looking for forward-thinking candidates committed to expanding access to diverse independent and international storytelling through film exhibition, distribution, and education. Candidates should be college age plus and can be a current student, graduate or alumni, or non-traditional. Internships can be for academic credit or for authentic work experience. While we prefer candidates with some prior experience or completed coursework relevant to the positions, it is not required.
We ask that applicants can commit a minimum of 20 hours per week during one of our three internship periods: Winter-Spring (January-May), Summer (June-August), and Fall (September-December). Interns are scheduled during regular business hours, Monday-Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM (CST) with limited opportunities to work with special programs or events on weekends or evenings. Weekly schedules along with start and end dates will be determined after an offer is made.
Internships are unpaid however, they do include many perks such as free screenings at Facets Cinema, free rentals in Facets Café, and access to classes or special events. Most of all, Facets internships are a rewarding learning experience with a unique and celebrated Chicago non-profit arts organization.
There is no application deadline although application materials should be submitted 2-6 months prior to the upcoming internship session. Internships are roughly seasonal (Winter/Spring, Summer, & Fall). Applicants should email their resume to email@example.com and must complete the Facets Internship Application from our website https://facets.org/careers/ to be considered for an interview.
