Title: Marketing Operations Manager

Reports to: VP Marketing, Education Division

Location: Remote – Anywhere in the US

Job Summary

The primary role of the Marketing Operations Manager is to oversee administrative responsibilities for the marketing technology systems used by FranklinCovey’s Education Division. These platforms include Marketo, WordPress, Drift, Google Analytics, SEM Rush, and more. This position will be responsible for keeping our marketing tech stack running effectively, integrating new tools as needed, and implementing innovative ideas and best practices that enable the marketing team to fully leverage the power of these tools. The role will also track and analyze data to inform effective practices and impact for tactics deployed across marketing channels. The role will require strong communications skills, cross-functional collaboration, and attention to accuracy and detail.

Essential Job Functions

  • Sys admin for the Education Division’s Marketo workspace.
  • Sys admin for the Education Division’s Drift (Chatbot) service.
  • Work closely with FranklinCovey’s Salesforce team to troubleshoot and implement changes to workflow rules, fields, and integrations that allow data to accurately flow between systems.
  • Evaluate, integrate, and support new tech solutions as needed to support the marketing team’s strategy.
  • Collaborate with internally to implement changes across systems that impact both education and enterprise marketing teams.
  • Oversee development changes, bug fixes, and ongoing maintenance of the leaderinme.org website. This involves working closely with the IT department and Change Control Board.
  • Manage vendor relationships that provide contracted services related to marketing tech platforms.
  • Help the team use technology to execute strategic projects.
  • Provide training and support to set up and ramp team members and new users within systems.
  • Work with marketing team leads to track and analyze data to gauge ROI and make informed decisions around effective and ineffective practices.
  • Establish processes to streamline workflows between marketing and IT.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a marketing operations or related technical role.
  • Experience with Marketo is preferred.
  • Technical project management. Understanding of the workflow from evaluating and designing business requirements, to development, to testing to production.
  • Software development and/or scrum master experience is a plus.
  • Basic HTML and CSS coding experience.
  • Experience with WordPress and/or other similar CMS platforms.
  • Exceptional time management and planning skills and the ability to prioritize with minimal oversight in our collaborative, supportive team environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible within a constantly evolving education landscape.
  • Ability to execute under accelerated timeframes.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly.
