The Role: Your Impact at RedZone
As a Technical Support Specialist at RedZone Technologies, you’ll be responsible for hands-on technical work while supporting our clients across Maryland, DC, and Virginia. This entry-level role is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in IT, where you’ll troubleshoot, install, and maintain hardware and software systems to keep client networks running smoothly. What You’ll Do:
• Customer-Focused Support: Travel to client sites across Maryland, DC, and Virginia to provide technical support, install and configure systems, and resolve network issues.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside experienced engineers and technicians to develop solutions, share knowledge, and tackle challenges as a team.
• Hardware & Software Integration: Assist in the installation and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and servers. You’ll work with leading technology from companies like Cisco, Microsoft, and VMware.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues both onsite and remotely.
• Documentation: Maintain records of all client systems, changes, and actions taken to ensure smooth ongoing operations.
• Continuous Learning: Gain hands-on experience in all areas of IT infrastructure, security, virtualization, and cloud services, while constantly learning new skills.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience:
- A strong interest in IT, technology, and problem-solving.
- Exposure to Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange) is a plus.
• Tech Skills: - Basic understanding of networking, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with basic hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Some exposure to Microsoft tools and technologies is a plus (Windows 10, Exchange, Active Directory).
• Key Competencies: - Problem-Solving: A willingness to learn how to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Teamwork: Enthusiasm for working with others and supporting each other’s success.
- Customer Service: A strong desire to help clients and build lasting relationships.
- Communication: Clear and effective communication, with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients in an easy-to-understand way.

• Physical & Travel Requirements: - Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and assist in lifting heavier equipment as needed.
