General Description: Responsible for the activities of the Finance Department of the Santa Rosa County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Responsible for planning, directing, and managing Finance Department activities and personnel. Assign, review, and evaluate the work of division employees. Represent the Clerk’s office in a professional manner when communicating with customers, business associates, and fellow employees. Produce the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and coordinate the external audit.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; supplemented by five years of recent and relevant managerial experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Licensure and/or Certifications: Requires a valid driver license at the date of hire and maintain said license while employed in this position. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO) designation is preferred.
