Role Overview
We are seeking an Underwriter to support our Tech E&O and Cyber Insurance business. This role is ideal for someone with 1–3 years of experience in underwriting or insurance brokerage who thrives in a high-volume environment and values strong customer service.
While prior Cyber or Tech E&O experience is a plus, it is not required. We are open to candidates with general underwriting experience or relevant broker-side experience who are eager to learn and grow in the cyber and technology space.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite and manage a high volume of Tech E&O and Cyber Insurance submissions for small businesses
- Evaluate risk exposures, financials, applications, and supporting documentation
- Communicate clearly and professionally with brokers, clients, and internal team members
- Provide timely quotes, indications, and coverage guidance
- Manage your underwriting desk efficiently, including follow-ups, renewals, and endorsements
- Maintain service-level expectations for responsiveness and turnaround time
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to continuously improve workflows and underwriting processes
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in underwriting, insurance brokerage, or a related insurance role
- Experience handling high submission volume and competing priorities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working in a fast paced start up environment
- Customer-service oriented mindset with a professional, solutions-focused approach
- Ability to work independently while managing a full underwriting desk
- Comfort learning new products and adapting in a fast-growing environment
Preferred (But Not Required)
- Experience with Cyber Insurance and/or Technology E&O
- Experience underwriting or servicing small to mid-sized businesses
- Familiarity with agency or MGA environments
