SimpleFunTax D.B.A. Lion Rex-ATA, Inc. is a certified public accounting firm founded in 1992. We are a technology enabled 12 people Accounting firm. We have an aggressive business expansion to reach 40 people in the next 3 years. Actively lookin for great candidates to join our Specialized Tax service such as in Real Estate Tax, International Tax, Corporate Tax, IRS Resolutions. We work with top 11% high income earners in the United States.
We are seeking an Tax strategist / Tax Accountant for the 2025 tax filing season (winter 2024/spring 2025) to accommodate our growing firm. This individual will possess a strong work drive and excellent character. This position will develop a general understanding of the accounting world. We will teach you everything you will need to succeed in this position. As a number of our clients speak Chinese, occasional communication in Chinese is preferred. The firm considers sponsorship for international students!
We provide Work Visa and Green Card sponsorship for the right candidates.
Responsibilities:
Present quarterly and yearly financial reports to management.
Perform general bookkeeping including reconciling bank and credit card statements.
Ensure all financial transactions within the company are accounted for and follow legal standards.
Work closely with clients and businesses to obtain information to assist in preparing personal and business income tax returns.
Occasional customer service.
· Assist in processing payroll on a weekly basis.
· File and pay sales tax on a monthly and quarterly basis.
· Assist in preparing payroll taxes on a quarterly basis.
· Assist management with various projects.
Qualifications:
· Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
· An excellent work ethic.
· Outstanding character.
· Strong communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office.
· Basic accounting knowledge.
· Ability to communicate in Chinese (preferred, not required).
About Our Internships:
Hours: The internship is a part-time, seasonal position that requires a minimum of fifteen hoursper week of work. The hours are flexible with a strong emphasis on school classes over work. Theweekly hours can be adjusted to fit the student’s accommodation for exams, projects, etc.

Salary: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
