About the Skyrocket Ventures Account Manager Training Program
Only a tiny percentage of applicants will be accepted into this program, and once accepted there is no guarantee of becoming an Account Manager. However, if you are accepted, it means the company believes that with hard work you will succeed.
This is a fast-paced, rigorous program designed for recent graduates of leading universities. Progression through the training is as fast as you make it, but estimated completion time ranges from 3 months to 1 year, with 6 months being average. Applicants must have the interest and potential to someday become an Account Manager (that job description is below, so please read that carefully to see if you can see yourself growing into it).
To be clear, this company is built to be high on leadership attributes in all employees, yet low on management reporting structure. Account Managers do not directly manage Skyrocket Ventures employees, but rather manage clients the company works with. Although you won’t manage any employees, you will have the potential to earn a lucrative income (much more than most other “management trainee” programs), you’ll be working with an elite team, and having a large degree of ownership and rewards for your work.
Training primarily consists of hands-on learning (“learning by doing”) along with coaching, mentorship, and education through osmosis (absorbing knowledge from your surrounding senior team members). The training is structured, in that it is a comprehensive education on the various functions and skills needed in the business. The training is also flexible and customized for each person based on their existing skill set and pace of progression. In essence the program is designed to develop the person from where they currently are to where an Account Manager needs to be (see the Qualifications section below for a preview of requirements). The skills gained, attributes developed, and knowledge acquired through the program are expected to help you succeed in both work and life!

Account Manager Description:
In this role you will be the primary point of contact for your client companies. Your primary goal is to CLOSE DEALS by producing placements of our candidates with your client companies. Job Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:
* Working within a collaborative team
* Prospecting/selling client companies on working with you/us
* Collaboratively formulating and executing strategies, both with clients and with the Skyrocket Team, to accomplish goals
* Maintaining ongoing relationships with your clients, and continually growing your network.
* Learning and becoming knowledgeable about your area of responsibility
* Finding and/or selecting candidates of interest to your client companies
* Contacting potential candidates and recruiting them (primarily with the phone, secondarily through email)
* Selling candidates on the career advancement opportunities with our client companies
* Negotiating/mediating compensation packages between both companies and candidates
* Finalizing candidates’ acceptances of employment offers, resulting in successful placements
