Who’s Hiring? 9 Organizations Hiring for Nonprofit Development Jobs

Who’s Hiring? 9 Organizations Hiring for Nonprofit Development Jobs was originally published on Idealist Careers.

For many nonprofits, securing the financial resources and support necessary to operate is one of their biggest and most important challenges. The development professionals who do this work—through fundraising, event planning, and grant writing—are skilled at cultivating relationships with donors and championing their organization’s mission every step of the way.

What many current and aspiring social-impact professionals don’t realize is that landing a development gig doesn’t require you to know everything about the sector, or have previous fundraising experience. In fact, it’s a fantastic way for entry-level professionals or sector switchers to apply backgrounds in research, sales, and communication to social impact.

This month, we’re bringing you nine organizations that have recently posted nonprofit development jobs on Idealist. Take a look through their descriptions to see if any are a match for your skills and interests.
