Meet the Team

Craig Oka is the Director and shaped CEPD into the office it is today. Craig has worked at CSUN Nazarian College since 2001. In 2012 he helped transform the Internship Program into the Career Education and Professional Development Center. As the Director, he creates new programs and events for students to explore career opportunities and grow professionally. He also delivers various professional development workshops, office presentations, and meets with students individually to provide guidance on topics like resume, cover letter, interview preparation, and career advice.

Danielle Rodriguez is the Programs Manager. She has been a part of the CEPD family since April 2015. As the Programs Manager, Danielle organizes, promotes, and evaluates events like Industry Night, Women in Business, and other employer events. She delivers various professional development workshops and office presentations. She also meets with students individually to provide guidance on topics like resume, cover letter, interview preparation, and career advice.

Karla Ayala is the Programs Coordinator. She has been a part of the CEPD family since May 2023. As the Programs Manager, Karla facilitates the Internship Program by running Internship Orientations and oversees the internship approval process. She also meets with students individually to provide guidance on topics like resume and internship advise.

Stephany Rodas is the Employer Relations Specialist for the CEPD team. Stephany, a first-generation CSUN alumna herself, brings a wealth of experience in sourcing, interviewing, and employing across various industries, having worked with esteemed companies such as DreamWorks, NBCUniversal, and Activision/Blizzard/King. Spanning close to a decade of experience across diverse fields, her journey has provided deep insights into the intricacies of a brand new workforce and culture demands. Currently serving as an Employer Relations Specialist, Stephany skillfully connects Employers with CSUN student talents, bringing in internship and job opportunities tailored to each student’s career trajectory and industry demands.

Bob Sheridan is the Executive Director. Bob brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in corporate, entrepreneurial, family-owned business and academic settings to establish the vision, secure the resources and drive the execution of technology-enabled and scaled solutions to develop the career readiness of multi-cultural talent for digital transformation and the workforce of the future.
