Elkins Kalt is seeking to hire a transactional legal assistant with a least 2-3 years of professional administrative experience to provide support to our Real Estate practice group.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
This role will support a group of 4 attorneys, and work closely with other assistants, attorneys and legal staff to perform legal administrative tasks, such as sending out invoices, running conflict checks, preparing engagement letters and conflict waivers, opening new matters, scanning, filing and organizing client files, editing and formatting documents, creating indexes and binders, entering attorney time, and other duties as required.
Our ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with the desire to contribute positively as part of a team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Meticulous attention to detail and follow through skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal ability
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to follow instructions accurately and with minimum supervision
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, and Adobe PDF
- Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and professionalism
- 1-3 years of prior legal, administrative or other professional services experience required.
