A Little Bit About Us…
We are a small fee-only financial advisory firm, located in West Los Angeles. We offer comprehensive financial planning services, consultation, and investment advisory services. Our mission is to help our clients create better financial futures for themselves and their families.
There is an introductory period of up to 60 days and a part-time apprenticeship period of about two to three years. After the apprenticeship, the candidate has the opportunity to work as our full-time employee. The candidate will also receive mentorship and support to earn the CFP® designation.
Job Responsibilities and Opportunities
There are two main components of our services: financial planning services which covers cash management and budgeting, tax analysis, insurance assessment, education funding, retirement planning and estate planning; investment advice which is provided via one-time investment analysis with recommendations, or ongoing portfolio management. Candidates will participate in our routine service process with our team. This includes:
- Assist in the creation of personal financial plans, including data entry, data analysis, identifying risks, and proposing recommendations.
- Provide support in the research and development of asset allocation analysis, e.g., investment analysis and portfolio optimization.
- Help create documents needed in our final meeting with clients.
- Common office duties: organize files and records, assist in maintaining and updating email addresses, newsletters, and other clients’ correspondent lists. Reply to clients’ inquiries and requests.
- Filing and other administration functions are also necessary.
After candidates become familiar with the routine work, there is an opportunity to get involved in our business development. This includes:
- Upgrading current repeatable workflows in our CRM with detailed instructions.
- Creating promotional and educational presentation slides.
- Standardizing the report structure.
- Improving our client communication strategy.
- Reorganizing our website and client portal.
- Renovating newsletters service.
- Testing new software packages.

Social Science Case Study
- Behavioral finance is a relatively new field that seeks to combine behavioral and cognitive psychological theories with conventional economics and finance. It provides explanations for irrational financial decisions.
- Learn from client experiences and receive mentorship from the business owner who has rich experience in handling human emotions.
Job Requirement and Application Procedure
- Students in freshman and sophomore year are preferred.
- Related experience is preferred, but not required.
- Interest in investments, financial planning, business, marketing, or social science.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Has a positive attitude and great team spirit.
- Education: currently pursuing a degree or certificate in Finance, Business, Marketing, Social Science or related field would be a plus.
- Work hours: approximately 15 to 25 hours per week.
- Location: In office.
