How we LEAD:
UMG West Coast Labels is comprised of the Capitol Music Group and the Interscope Geffen A&M Music Group. This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing UMG West Coast Labels vendor payment processes and vendor setup for the Creative and Video departments. The position will have 2 direct reports. Responsibilities include: creating POs and issuing payments on behalf of the Creative and Video departments, reconciling creative budgets in Uniport monthly/quarterly, working closely with the Creative and Video departments on a day-to-day basis to manage their budgets.
How you’ll CREATE:
Day-to-day creative budget management in Uniport
Supporting the Creative and Video departments with 3rd party payments (creating POs/reservations)
Issuing payments to vendors on behalf of the Creative and Video departments, including collection of all UMG required vendor documentation and UMG internal approvals
Managing departmental responsibilities across team of 2 staff
Issuing ad-hoc reports to department heads/labels, as needed
Have an understanding of the overall scope of the project’s creative budget and different vendors associated in order to anticipate invoices ahead of time
Working closely with the Finance teams to reconcile budgets for the monthly/quarterly accounting accruals
Work with the Central Accounting team to issue JEs and other creative-related accounting entries
Bring your VIBE:
Degree qualified (specific to business, finance or accounting)
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a finance operations, corporate accounting, or similar position
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong computer skills – understanding of Microsoft Excel and Financial Payment Systems
Experience using the Uniport payment system a plus
Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with employees of the company at all levels including Senior Management
Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with external partners
Strong people skills & communication skills needed to liaise with external vendors in particular
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Ability to work under high pressure, deadlines and speed
Must be flexible, able to multi-task and manage time effectively
