THE ROLE
Demand Planning is part Science and part Art, combining data analytics with business intelligence to forecast customer demand for our products. Demand Planning signals the customer’s needs, therefore it is the basis for all supply and logistics planning for the company. The North America demand planning intern will assist the Demand Planning team in developing the forecast by analyzing historical data, assessing viability of future market activities, and investigating current trends to sales forecast.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role you will be learning and then being responsible for:
- Management of reports to track our goals and maintain consistency.
- Monitor demand fluctuations that impact the supply plan – distribution changes, consumption trends, promotions, and customer inventory position.
- To review consumption and shipment trends as compared to sales forecast. Provide recommendations on forecast adjustments where applicable.
- Ensure monthly forecast accuracy associated with major events, transitions, new, and discontinued items.
- Assist in tracking sales forecast vs. shipments and recommending forecast changes to Demand Planners
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Studying or Recent Graduate in Business, Finance, Data Science, Economics or equivalent
- Strong analytical skills with special attention to detail.
- Curious and Investigative
- Advance skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Solid oral and written communication skills.
- Aptitude for problem solving.
- Track record of working independently to produce solutions.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and quickly learn new processes.
Desirable
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate horizontally and vertically.
- Independent thinker who can identify unique solutions and follow through.
- Ability to multitask and quickly resolve issues.
We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company’s total rewards package for employees. Pay $19/hr.
