INTERN INFORMATION
- Flexible hours of up to 25 hours a week maximum;
- This role is for 3-4 months with the possibility for internship extension;
- Team will accommodate academic commitments;

THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Legal Intern to support our North America Legal Team. In this internship, you will assist the North America Legal Team in implementing changes to legal forms, drafting various agreements and performing legal research. The internship will provide you with knowledge about various topics that impact Wella’s business, including data privacy, distribution, ecommerce, research and development, and the role of the legal department within the beauty industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and research related laws, regulations and legislative updates pertaining to Wella’s North America business.
- Assist with reviewing and drafting various contractual agreements when necessary.
- Update and review Wella’s digital files, including organizing some of Wella’s most important documents while reviewing to ensure compliance with our current business practices, particularly with respect to privacy issues, distribution, and data privacy.
- In addition, our intern will provide additional support for any projects that arise during the course of the internship.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in an accredited JD program
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
- Strong academic credentials and writing skills
- Must have completed a contract course with a grade of B or better
- Ability to work within an office environment and collaborate with team members
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suit, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to take initiative and multi-task with strong follow-up.
- Ability to learn quickly, and work with minimal supervision and with a team.
- Professional and positive communication skills, both written and verbal
- Passion for the beauty industry
- Preferred but not required: prior experience with, or interest in data privacy.
